- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2024Color: BlackVerified PurchaseI’ve been using the Thule Yepp Mini Child Bike Seat for a while now, and it’s been a game changer for bike rides with my little one. The seat is incredibly comfortable for my child, with soft padding and secure straps that keep her safely in place. The installation was quick and straightforward, and it attaches easily to my bike without any hassle.
What I love most is the suspension system, which provides a smooth ride even on bumpy roads. My daughter enjoys the ride, and I feel confident knowing she’s safe and comfortable. It’s also easy to adjust as she grows, which is a huge plus.
Overall, I highly recommend the Thule Yepp Mini for parents who want to share their love for cycling with their kids. It’s well-built, secure, and super convenient for family biking adventures!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2024Color: BlueVerified PurchaseThe Thule Yepp Mini is 100% worth the splurge. There are cheaper options for baby bike seats but this one is worth the extra money in the long run.
The foam seat absorbs shock and my baby/now toddler does not complain about bumps in the road unlike when she rode in other brands we tried before the Thule. She loves holding the little handlebar and I love that she’s situated in front of me for security.
The harness is secure, but you have to make sure to adequately tighten each strap or they can slip off baby’s shoulders.
Installation is easy peasy, and the convenient key locks the bike seat in place and releases the seat from the handlebars in case you wanted to ride the bike without the Yepp Mini attached.
It is a smaller seat with wider footrests than other brands we’ve tried, which enables a larger/wider turn radius.
It is sleek and easy to clean as well!
Lots of adjustments can be made to accolades tall kiddos! I wish the weight limit was bigger since my daughter is nearing the end of her time with the Thule Yepp Mini, but we love it!

- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2014Color: BlueVerified PurchaseI did a bit of research and read reviews, but I'm not completely happy with this bike seat. My 10-month old girl loves riding around with daddy - loves the wind on her face - and bangs on her little handlebar in happiness. It's well-made, rock solid. Goes on and off the bike super easy. Nothing sharp, all soft and easy to clean.
My issue is there's not a lot of room for this seat and baby. I'm big and tall, 6'4", and I have a pretty large 29er mt, bike. I used a shorter handlebar stem so I wouldn't have to lean and reach as far, but it's still pretty tight. My girl is 30 inches+, and with helmet on she's up against my chest. And, I have to splay my legs a little around it. She's 21 lbs or so, and we tighten the straps as tight as they can go, but she's still not secured. So, we put a bulky towel behind her, and it's fine. Still, a bother, and she'll get hotter without those vent holes.
She's just getting bigger every day, so I figure we can use it this summer and fall. Next spring I might be able to swap it over to a road bike, and get another season, or we have to shelve it and get a rear seat or trailer.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2021Color: BlueVerified PurchaseWe researched numerous child seats, both front and rear, and am glad we went with the Thule Yepp Mini. We also purchased the Thule Children's RideAlong, which is great, but our 12 month old really enjoys riding in the front. We put it on a Trek Verve 3 Lowstep and have zero issues. The features we love are that it is vented (we're in the deep south so summers and even falls can be extremely hot and humid), the handle (yes she uses it it), the lightness of it, and the security. On the security aspect, you basically have to press a button and then slide another piece before lifting (assuming it is unlocked). It if effective, but also very efficient. Our knees rarely ever bump it.
Depending on your bike, your turning radius can be limited. We have no issue with it as my wife's bike is a lowstep, but on my bike (not a lowstep) the turning radius is slightly limited as the leg bars contact my frame.
I would purchase again and highly recommend.
Instructions were simple. Installation took ~30 mins
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2024Color: BlackVerified PurchaseThis seat is just what I was looking for. Easy to put together. Feels very secure and high quality. The best part of the seat is the ability to take it on and off easily unlike other permanent seats. There is a key lock on the bottom that unlocks the seat with a button to easily pop it off. My daughter is 13 months and about 25 pounds and you can barely feel a difference in riding the bike. Highly recommend.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2020Color: BlueVerified PurchaseGetting the clamp on the bike was easy enough. It felt good and tight on my bike. Getting seat onto the clamp was a little more tricky. I had to really get down and look to see exactly what was going where, but once I got it on, it was on! It fits perfect, which I was a little worried about because I have an older bike (1984 Sears Roebuck Free Spirit Brittany).
My daughter is 18 months and 26lbs and fits in it perfectly. The length of the legs adjusts to fit so that was very nice. I like the 5 point harness, but it has a tendency to slip off her shoulders even when very tight. I like the straps that keep her feet in place, that is nice so I know she won't get her foot caught in the wheel.
I was a little concerned that it would get in the way of my knees, but it isn't bad. It's very compact, made of good, sturdy material, and works wonderfully. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Toller Kinderfahrradsitz, der kurz Kopfzerbrechen bereitet...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Child Bike Seat on the Market
I did a lot of research into infant bicycle seats before purchasing this seat. My daughter was sitting upright and holding her head up very securely at 8 months, so my husband and I decided to try out a bike seat at 10 months - provided that the smallest bicycle helmet we could find would fit her by then (she's very petite!).
Needless to say, we received a lot of negative feedback about the idea of putting our child on a bike seat at such a young age, but none of the naysayers had ever heard of or seen the Yepp Mini seat before. Upon receiving the product, my confidence was immediately restored as to her safety, as the smaller size of the seat compared to rear-mounted seats, the adjustable 5-point harness and foot straps created a very snug and secure cocoon of comfort around her. All of the rear-mounted seats we researched would have been too big and she would have bounced around a lot. This was also by far the most appealing of all the front-mounted child seats we researched, including the WeeRide, BoBike and iBert.
The price was also fantastic for this product, in fact, I would have paid double knowing how well it works and how long it will last us. The material of the seat and straps is soft (but durable and waterproof) making the ride a bit more comfortable and the quick release attachment is FANTASTIC for days when I'm commuting without baby. We definitely get a lot of curious stares and smiles when cycling around town.
The downsides are few:
- The mounting bracket does not fit every bicycle. Make sure you research your stem diameter prior to purchasing if you plan to use this for an existing bike. Also, you need to have enough stem clearance (the distance between the head and the steering column) to take this bracket, which is about 50-60mm clear. There is an adapter for the bracket which allows you to use it for bikes with an Ahead setup. I used my hybrid Giant FCR3 bicycle for this, which had stem "spacers" on the column. I was able to remove these and fit the regular bracket around the stem in their place.
- Knee clearance isn't great on my hybrid, but you will probably find this with most front-mounted child seats. This also depends on the type of bike you use the seat with, as bicycles in a more upright position (e.g. Dutch-style town bikes) will have almost no impact on your knees whatsoever.
All-in-all a fantastic product with great accessories. My daughter is now 14 months and LOVES riding in her front seat. In fact, she wouldn't have it any other way!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED it
Color: BlueVerified PurchaseVery high quality and comfortable. My daughter Loved it and didn’t complain about anything through a complete hour ride. And I managed to install it on my bike within 5 minutes.
