About Adams Trail-A-Bike
In 1986, Adams was started around a simple idea: Create innovative products that make riding a bicycle easier and more fun for the whole family. This idea spawned the Adams Trail-A-Bike, a name that is now synonymous with an entire category of bicycles. Providing an easy solution for getting kids involved in cycling and a safe way to introduce proper riding and traffic habits, the Trail-A-Bike took off. After more than 20 years, the line has evolved to include six models of the legendary Trail-A-Bike, a plethora of accessories and add-ons, and the Runner, a device widely considered to be one of the best ways to introduce young children to riding a bicycle.

Easy Installation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Setting up the Trail-A-Bike Back Rest was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and all the necessary components were included. It securely attaches to the Trail-A-Bike, and we were impressed with the overall build quality.
Autism-Friendly Design: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We specifically chose this backrest for our autistic child, and it has exceeded our expectations. The design is autism-friendly, providing the support and structure he needs while ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride. It has become a crucial part of our family outdoor activities.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2016A great addition for safety and mom's sanity when she's riding behind my son and I. She will even venture ahead now, without excessive paranoia that our 4-yr old will fly off with each bump (though I'm dying to have him get off and hide while I ride up to her and pretend I don't know he's gone). I'm using this on a Wee-ride Pro-Pilot. It fits the seat post perfectly once you remove the bushing. All it costs you (other than the $45 price) is an inch and a half or so of seat adjustment height off the low end. The seatback seems comfortable to him and the belt is pretty secure. I'd still want his hands on the bars and his feet on the pedals though. The seatback has two vertical positions on the mounting bracket, so you can adjust for the child's torso height. The lower position puts it right at the top of the seat on the Pro Pilot. Perfect for my son.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2012Ok, so I ordered this along with a tandem bike for my 4 y/o daughter who is legally blind to give her the freedom to pedal and feel secure on the bike behind me. They sent me the frame, no pad no belt. I contacted their customer service and they were very nice and resubmitted/ reshipped free of charge. A week later I recieved the order, opened the box and guess what...all there is again is another frame, no pad no seat belt! I worked as an merchandise expeditor at a large retail chain for years and filled alot of orders. It says back rest on the order people! On the frame you can clearly see that a back rest goes with it but it hasn't been shipped...don't order unless you want to deal with this yourselves.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2014If you've got a kid with special needs you know that as soon as they slap a 'special needs' label on something you're going to pay between 4 and 10 TIMES what you'd pay if it was in the normy market. So I was SO happy to find this! I have a child with mild CP; it provides support and safety while still encouraging my son to use his trunk to support himself. This was easy to install, took less than 5 minutes and when combined with the trail-a-bike, it...well, it kicks butt! I'm grateful to people who make products for kids with challenges and then don't turn around and gouge us, so this company has just bought my loyalty. They make a good product for a fair price and they got it to us in time for Christmas and I'm completely happy.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2019This is a fantastic safety addition for kids who are too big for a bike seat but can’t 100% be trusted to hold on to the handlebars of a trailer bike for the whole ride. My almost 4-yr-old travelled very happily and safely for a 6 mile ride using it. Note that the seat of the trailer bike needs to be raised an inch or two so you can attach the back rest to it, so some shorter kids may then struggle to reach the pedals. I knocked one star off as it’s REALLY expensive for what you get, but I was willing to pay the money to improve my child’s safety and enable our family to go on longer rides. Overall a very good product.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2025Excellent addition for you bike to take along your little tike on your rides.. Easy to put on/take off.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2018Even with all of the negative reviews, I decided to purchase this. It came with all of the parts and was easy to install. My wife and I have ebikes as well as the bike attachments for our girls. We wanted some extra safety measures since we get up to some brisk speeds on our bike. This not only gave us piece of mind, but actually worked at keeping our kids on if things got askew. Highly recommended.
