Quality cabling for not much money.
Just managed to get these cables installed on my bike today. The kit had more than enough to run front & rear brakes on one bike. Both the housings and the two cables themselves were sufficiently long for large bikes with tons to spare. The kit includes all of the nice little hardware bits you'll want for a clean installation. Instructions were short but brake cables are pretty simple anyway. A note -- don't cut the housings with a rotary tool. Use a proper set of cable housing cutters. If the housings get hot, the coating inside them melts. I figured this out the hard way. The color is great, nice and bright. The housings are strong but plenty bendy.

    This kit comes with everything needed, as well as some extra items apparently dedicated to folding bikes as well, though there are no printed instructions regarding their use. XL cable was plenty long for the rear brake of my recumbent. Will definitely purchase again to upgrade my other bikes.

    n.b. : Manual instructs to cut cable housing to match lengths of segments previously installed. Not very helpful if building up a new bike from scratch or if previous installation had skimped on material. So best to familiarize youself with the little intricacies of cabling beforehand.

    Very nice kit. The lines are beautiful and the "Slick-Lube" liner allows the cables to pull very smoothly. A decent cable housing cutter is a must for these.

    **Please note that if you're using these on an older road bike (such as my Shimano 600s), the housing is too large to use the supplied end cap. While everything seems to work just fine without the end caps, it would have been nice to know in advance.

    Nice Teflon coated thick cable housing. Looks sharp and the cables work so much better. There is enough housing to do your shifters as well. Only complaint is the housing is so thick, standard ferrules won't fit. The kit only came with 4, and I couldn't use extra I had. This is something you can't buy separate anywhere. Fortunately, the local bike shop had some laying around.

    I have been doing my own bike maintenance for many years, so I can’t believe I did not know this, but brake cables and shifters cables use slightly different diameter housings! And of course all the metal end bits are different. I did not figure it out until I had already opened the package, bummer for me.
