Product Description

As one of only 3 contact points on the bike, pedal selection can certainly be a personal thing. Think about the range of preferences people have in their bar tape. Some prefer thin for more road feel, while others choose a thicker tape to help absorb more vibration. And we’re not even going to touch the saddle preference issue that runs the gamut when it comes to personal selection. TIME’s Xpro 15 Pedals are for the connoisseur who demands the best from their equipment. Expensive, yes, but for a pedal that has such a range of adjustment, premium materials, and such light weight, we feel the asking price is justified. The Xpro 15 carries over the hollow titanium axle and superlight carbon body of the Xpro 12, but adds CeramicSpeed bearings to the mix for the smoothest pedaling available allowing accelerations and spinning at a high cadence to be just that much easier. Further contributing to a smoother spin is TIME’s low 13. 5mm stack height which reduces rocking torque and places the foot closer to the pedal’s spindle for more efficiency. The new Xpro platform increases the already oversized platform of 700mm2 on the Xpresso line to an even more impressive 725mm2. TIME claims that this is perhaps the best platform to weight ratio available. Other favorite features carrying over that we are glad are not lost are the Q-Factor and angular adjustment, and the 3-position adjustable carbon Flexion blade utilized instead of heavier, traditional metal springs. We’ve always loved the easy entry and release of the Iclic system and TIME redesigned it to allow for even more positive engagement. These pedals barely trouble the scales at 87. 3 grams per pedal making them worthy of any top end build. One last piece of tech differentiating the Xpro from the Xpresso is the new lower plate that acts as a fairing to improve aerodynamics and provide protection for the carbon blade.
